(Nonalcoholic) Orange Crush

The Orange Crush has always been one of my favorite summer cocktails. So when a friend suggested a nonalcoholic version, I couldn’t resist.

If you live on the East Coast, no doubt you’ve downed a few Orange Crushes at the beach, or perhaps a baseball game. I know my friends and I had a few obscene Orange Crush bar tabs back in the day. Some of them probably still do…

When I was researching this legendary cocktail, I found that there are bars in Baltimore claiming to have invented the it. However, the exact origins of the are as hazy as a day at the beach drinking them. Some believe that the Orange Crush was first created in the 1990s in Ocean City, Maryland. Others claim that the drink was first served at a bar in New York City. Regardless, it’s a fine cocktail deserving of an alcohol free makeover.

I chose to use Seedlip Grove in this recipe. I love the brightness it adds to the drink without trying too hard to be something it’s not. See the notes below for other options.
